They are indeed great assets in your marketing journey as long as they are used effectively in a way that reaches audiences that you want to reach. However, as with any new method, there are a few things to consider if you want to achieve that better ROI. I will explain a couple of things that may help you avoid these pitfalls. You may be a freelancer, an agency owner, or an entrepreneur, this is ought to benefit you while working on a digital marketing strategy.

Marketing is getting customers to believe that your product/services are important and that they deliver better value than the competition. In any business, Marketing plays the pivotal role, It’s like the hub of the wheel. All other functionalities are connected to marketing. Hence having a robust marketing strategy pays well in the long term. It’s also essential to have a well-documented strategy so that all other departments and their efforts can be aligned with the marketing strategy and produce desired results. So make sure you have one. This is because marketing starts before a product or service is created. The right marketing strategy even helps build a better product which is useful in solving a customer’s specific problem. That helps in natural sales if done right.

Like any marketing strategy, whether digital or traditional, planning is done first by analyzing the customers, competition, and then a strategy is built on how to target potential customers and position your products. Once done, you will create marketing programs to reach customers. Finally, measuring the results will help to analyze whether you did reach your goal at the end and how to go on about improving the results.

Traditionally marketing is done through TV ads, Radio ads, Billboards, newspapers, and mail-in ads, etc. With the evolution of the internet and social media, a major part of the advertising has shifted to digital marketing mediums such as Google ads, Facebook ads, etc. While the traditional way of marketing still has a stronghold in reaching the masses, digital marketing plays a pivotal role in reaching out to an audience who are affluent and can be swayed towards your products or services through the power of online advertisement. Using digital ad platforms will ensure that you reach the target customer more accurately and effectively.

The way to marketing digitally requires following the CATT Marketing funnel. As in any business, for a sale to happen we need to establish trust with the end customer.

In the CATT framework, C stands for Content and in the digital world Content is King. In today’s world, the attention span of any individual is short. There are a lot of distracting things going around at any given time. For your product or service to grab a person’s attention for the amount of time needed to establish trust, is achieved by the way of content that you present to that person at the right time. Attention-grabbing content, be it an infographic, blog post, or video, plays a critical role in achieving that trust.

A in the CATT framework stands for Attention. You must drive attention to your creative and unique content. You need to steer it towards the product or service that you provide and the customer needs for the natural sales to happen. Using this attention and content you will build trust, which is the first T in the CATT framework. Build and Nurture this trust in way of directing constant quality content which the customer consumes, and you will have your transaction which is the second T in the CATT framework.

Now that you know the funnel, the question that may arise is how to plug this into your digital marketing strategy. Which branch of digital marketing is the right fit for your product or service? Should you focus on paid ads or SEO? Is Social media marketing the right fit for your business or Email marketing? The answer is all of them. There must be a holistic approach when it comes to digital marketing techniques. Integrated digital marketing is when you use all techniques in your strategy to drive the CATT funnel. Create great content using blog posts, drive attention to it through paid ads and SEO, build trust, and allow them to transact by natural sales techniques. That’s integrated marketing in a nutshell. Combine this with your niche and you are well on your way to wealth.

Now let us move slightly away from the product or service that you offer. What do you want your customers and the world to think about you? What should be one thing you want to be known for? What areas of business or life that you want to contribute as a thought leader? What is your idea of giving back to the community? Whatever it is, it can be achieved through personal branding. Remember, there is no one quite like you. There are similar personalities. But you are one single unique personality formed by your personal and professional experiences, your view of the world, and how you react in any given situation. Combine all this with your skills and voila, we have a truly inspiring personality. Your perspective matters and that can change a few lives if not many. So personal branding is of utmost importance if you like to be a community leader and inspire others to make the world a better place and use of digital marketing help build a robust brand that is you. Furthermore, you can utilize your personal brand to promote your businesses using the power of influence.
